Our Starting Journey
In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, a group of talented students of Titumir College came together with a vision to develop their IT skills and create learning opportunities for fellow students. In May, they launched an online platform named Titumir IT Community, where students initially practiced and shared IT knowledge among themselves.

With the growing activities and participation, the initiative evolved into Titumir College IT Society – TCITS. On September 15, 2020, TCITS officially began its journey with an Ethical Hacking Seminar. Later that year, the society successfully launched the “Career with IT Scholarship” program, providing 150 students with training opportunities in five IT courses worth BDT 3 lakh.

The first official committee of TCITS was announced on March 17, 2021, marking an important milestone in its institutional journey. Subsequently, on December 9, 2021, the then Principal of Titumir College, Professor Talat Sultana, officially approved and recognized the activities of Titumir College IT Society -TCITS.
Since then, TCITS has been working to enhance students’ IT skills through seminars, workshops, training programs, and online courses.
Today, with 10+ courses and 650+ registered students, TCITS has established itself as one of the leading student-driven IT and E-Learning platforms at Titumir College.

Overview
Titumir College IT Society -TCITS is the official student-led technology organization of Govt. Titumir College, established in 2020. TCITS aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and the evolving demands of the technology-driven world by providing students with opportunities to develop technical skills, explore innovation, and prepare for future careers.
Through workshops, seminars, training programs, and various technology-focused initiatives, TCITS promotes digital literacy, skill development, innovation, and career readiness across the campus.

• Digital Skill Development: Provide practical training in software development, graphic design, cybersecurity, data analysis, and office productivity tools.
• Tech Community Building: Create a collaborative platform for students to share ideas, work on tech projects, and network with peers.
• Industry Engagement: Host guest lectures, career guidance sessions, and webinars featuring tech industry experts and distinguished alumni.
• Innovation & Competition: Motivate students to participate in national and international hackathons, coding contests, and tech exhibitions.
Primary Activities & Programs
TCITS regularly organizes structured programs designed for all skill levels—from beginners to advanced tech enthusiasts:
• Skill Development Bootcamps: Intensive training modules covering Python Programming, Web Development (HTML/CSS/JS), Graphic Design & UI/UX, and Cyber Hygiene.
• Intra-College Tech Fests: Annual flagship events featuring ICT Olympiads, Gaming Tournaments, Project Showcases, and Poster Presentations.
• Career & Freelancing Seminars: Guidance sessions on launching tech careers, remote work, freelancing platforms, and higher education opportunities abroad in STEM fields.
• Mentorship Initiatives: Peer-to-peer learning groups where senior members guide juniors on real-world tech projects.
Key Achievements
Since its inception, TCITS has accomplished key milestones on campus:
• Trained 500+ Students: Conducted multiple hands-on workshops and masterclasses on core digital skills.

• National Representation: Represented Govt. Titumir College in prestigious national ICT competitions and programming contests.

• Campus Digitization Support: Assisted in technical logistics and digital branding for major college-wide events and academic activities.

Tech Mania 1.0 : Successfully brought together 700+ participants representing 7 colleges. Launched an Open Intern Exam to connect top talent with opportunities. Hosted dedicated competitions in Web Development and Graphics Design with 200+ active participants. Distributed 1 Lakh in prize value to celebrate and reward top performers.
