About Accounting department

The Government Titumir College was established in 1968 Named “The Jinnah College” for the need of Higher Secondary Education of the Area (Mohakhali, Dhaka). On 3rd March, 1971 the Jinnah College was named as Titumir College according to the name of the Self-sacrificing freedom fighter Syed Mir Nisar Ali (Titumir). The College was nationalized on 1973. The Accounting was taught as an indispensible subject in HSC commerce group since inception of the college. In connection of this Accounting was taught as Honours subject under commerce discipline of National University of Bangladesh since 1998-2016.

Message from the Department Head

The Government Titumir College was established in 1968 as a Government college Named “The Jinnah College” . It was inaugurated as the Degree (Pass) section of Jagannath college of that time. On 3rd March, 1971 the Jinnah College was named as Govt. Titumir College according to the name of the Self-sacrificing freedom fighter Syed Mir Nisar Ali (Titumir). The Accounting was introduced as emerging and popular subject of study  since inception of the college.
